I partnered with Bastião Arquitetura on the visualization and graphic development of an architectural competition proposal for a large-scale public complex. Working within a highly compressed timeline and a lean, collaborative setup, the project required fast decision-making and continuous iteration. Rather than operating as a final-step renderer, I was embedded in the process, producing images in parallel with the project’s evolution and contributing to the visual consistency of the proposal.
My role centered on shaping the atmosphere, tone, and overall visual coherence of the project through 3D renderings and graphic materials. Using a workflow that combined BIM-based modeling in Archicad with 3D visualization in Blender, I was able to work directly from evolving design data while maintaining a unified visual language. To meet the competition’s deadlines without compromising image quality, we strategically integrated AI-assisted workflows, enabling faster iteration and refinement of ambience within a feasible production timeframe.
In addition to the renderings, I developed the graphic structure of the competition boards and diagrams, aligning images, schematics, and layouts into a cohesive visual narrative. This hybrid role required flexibility and precision, translating a constantly evolving design into clear, expressive visuals that communicated intent, mood, and spatial experience effectively.
Key contributions & results:
- - Developed competition-ready renderings focused on atmosphere, materiality, and spatial mood.
- - Worked directly with BIM models (Archicad), bridging design data and visualization workflows in Blender.
- - Leveraged AI-assisted image workflows to accelerate production while preserving visual quality and narrative strength.
- - Adapted continuously to a fast-paced, iterative design environment, producing visuals alongside ongoing design decisions.
- - Ensured visual coherence across renderings, diagrams, and board layouts through consistent graphic standards.
